I’d not played Fable since I first bought my Xbox 360 with a tax rebate back in 2013! Fable Anniversary being on sale was the perfect opportunity for me to grab a copy and spend some time playing a game that I completely fell in love with the first time around. Despite thinking that this would simply be a case of picking up an old favourite and smashing it out easy-peasy, I actually had completely forgotten everything about the game – especially how to use the map and how to stop randomly ‘expressing’ myself.
While I’m confessing, I still haven’t actually completed Fable Anniversary. After being confronted by the final boss I suddenly realised I’d put all my efforts into becoming as strong as possible with my weapons and completely neglecting to use my Will Power throughout basically the entire game. Following a few futile attempts to whack the boss and being completely obliterated in the process, I had a cheeky look on YouTube to find that it’s probably in my best interests to go back, level up my Will Power and shoot some magics at them.
